This is our 4th Celebrity cruise. The ship is clean all the staff were very polite and helpful.
The entertainment in the theatre although all acts were very good it lacked variety. The booked acts were all singers except for a magician!
The food in the seaview cafe was very good . Sometimes we struggled to find a seat. In the evening we eat at around 6 most nights. We had to book a table for the first night and just rebook nightly as we went in. Some nights the service was a bit slow but mostly it was ok . The staff are all friendly and polite. I was rather disappointed at the menu's, they obviously reuse the sheets but some nights they were ripped and dirty.
When we first walked into our cabin we were delighted with the space. When I looked out of the window it was more of a helipad view than a sea view. At around 5.15am the following morning we discovered this cabin also had sound effects and vibrations! As the side thrusters were used to dock the ship the vibrations woke us up. Add to this the ropes being let down to secure the ship there was no way we were going to get any sleep for at least an hour.
When the ship was due to sail there was regularly a party of people invited into the helipad to watch the sail away! This usually happened as we returned to our cabin to change for the evening! So not only did these lucky people have a lovely view of the sail away but also a clear view into our cabin!
One of our ports we would be using the tender boats, so no bow thrusters or ropes that morning!!!!! No instead they let the anchor down! This was a whole new level of noise! Although this cabin is spacious and light. I do not recommend it unless you are profoundly deaf!
We have been here before! We knew what we wanted to do. We walked to the bus stop and caught the bus to the arts and science park. After wandering around outside viewing these amazing buildings from all angles, we went into the science museum which kept us amused for a few hours!
We then wondered along the park which used to be a river. We found a cafe and had some lunch. We then walked along the park a bit further before catching a bus back to the port.
We arrived a day early and stayed in an Airbnb. We have been to Barcelona before. We went to a few museums and just explored in general. We are at a Tapas in the evening. Love Barcelona.
We did our own walking tour of this beautiful place.
We hired a minibus which took us up the rock. We stopped at a monument, at Michael's caves we then stopped to watch the monkeys and another viewing spot before returning to the bottom. We then explored on our own.
It rained! We found the glass museum. This turned out to be the owners private collection! He took us on our tour which is in a middle class townhouse . The house was as interesting as the glass! Our guide was very enthusiastic and made the tour very interesting. It took about 2 hours. Excellent value for money!
We took the train to Nice. We explored on foot had a lovely lunch . Beautiful place.
We caught a coach to Florence. Spent the day exploring. It was very crowded there!
We took a private tour to Aix en Provence and Cassis . It was an informative and enjoyable day.
We did a very interesting underground tour it took nearly 2 hours. We explored the old part of Naples before going back to the ship for a late lunch!
We got the train to Tarquinia ! The station is in the middle of no where and a 2/3 mile walk into Tarquinia! Beautiful place! After lunch we found our way to the Etruscan berial site! I decided we should get a taxi back to the station. Apparently there are no taxis in Tarquinia so we walked!
