My husband and I planned a last minute cruise on Carnival Fantasy out of Mobile Al. I have cruised a couple of times before on Royal Caribbean and had a wonderful experience and this was my husbands first cruise so I was excited for him. The moment I got on the ship i thought what a disappointment. I knew the Fantasy was the oldest ship but I was hoping it was kept in better condition and it was not. It felt dirty to me and my husband like it had not been cleaned well. Our Cabin smelled like sewage when we entered. We had rusty water coming in our window. Curtain was old and falling down. On the top deck while sitting on bench looking out at water we noticed screws missing out of the railing and the top railing was flapping in wind. Whole thing is a rust bucket. We paid to have the internet and you couldn’t even use it. The food was bland to say the least sometimes even cold in the dining room. Poor few selections on buffets. Thank goodness for Guy’s Hamburger Restaraunt on board. Even the desert bars were very poor in taste and selection! One pool for 2600 people! One really good band on board. I hate this was my husbands first cruise experience! Hopefully I will be able to get him to go again but NEVER on Carnival! Don’t waste your money on this ship please! Had a nice excursion experience in Kozumel!
