Hope you enjoy the ship as much as we did. It truly was amazing. The signage where you get dropped off in San Pedro was very poor. Nothing indicating where you needed to go etc. You needed to ask one of the porters hauling luggage or just follow the crowds. Once inside the terminal, it was extremely chaotic, again not a lot of clear signage and you had to rely on the quick instructions from the greeters as to where your deck was to check in. Some improvement there would be beneficial. We had a balcony cabin on deck 13 midship. Close enough access to elevators. Before we left the dock we of course had a snack in the buffet deck 16 forward. Then we started at deck 20 and explored every available public space and worked our way down. Some highlights for you. The Observation Lounge Deck 15 forward. Its like 20 formal living rooms covering half the ship. Absolutely stunning decor with tons of seating areas 3 snack and drink areas. A bar. Grand piano with entertainment from Suzanne Jade. She's from South Africa and very very good.

Deck 8 The Waterfront. An outside area with lots of comfy seating areas In between several of the specialty restaurants. Cagneys Steakhouse ( incredible ) La Cucina, Los Lobos, Ocean Blue, Humidor Cigar Lounge. Just a great space to walk and check people out. We ate inside at Cagneys, and outside at La Cucina. We also ate at Teppanayaki one night. The other times were buffet, The Manhattan Dining Room, Savor and Taste. Savor and Taste restaurants offer the same menu each night as the main dining room. They just have a more intimate smaller restaurant feel.

Smoking areas were the biggest gripe of us smokers. Deck 17 by Spice H2O back of the ship was a tiny area for us to smoke. Always crowded and lots of Intoxicated people. Not our thing. You could smoke in one section of the enclosed casino but you had to be playing machines or tables. We also smoked In Humidor Cigar Lounge even though it says for cigar smokers only. They need a more comfortable space for smokers and larger as the ship carries over 4000 guests.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

The cabin was well appointed with the amount of room you would expect and need. Ample storage space in the closet as well as cabinets and cubbies. We liked the fact the balcony had a slider with a partial open locking mechanism to keep the door open and not sliding back and forth as we slept with it open on several nights to hear the ocean and the wonderful breeze. Other lines use an actual open and closing door which doesn't allow you to enjoy the sound and air. Bathroom was very nice and had plenty of storage for all your essentials.

Port Reviews

Mazatlan

Took a taxi to old downtown Mazatlan and walked through their market. Typical array of goods for sale, however the meat market portion was a bit disgusting as unwrapped pieces of meat sit in open air cases. Meat handlers do everything with no gloves. We took another taxi to the Golden Shore area and had a beautiful time walking on the beach, shopping for souvenirs and artwork.

Puerto Vallarta

Humid and rainy but the taxis were plentiful and we always enjoy walking through Puerto Vallarta
