The wife and I did the “Grand Hamburg and Scandinavia” cruise, M839B, cabin P1, start and end in NYC, 23 nights, double crossing with stops in Southhampton (twice), Hamburg (twice), Elsinore Denmark, and Oslo Norway. The opinions below are based solely on our experience during our voyage. As a point of reference, we are late 50s/early 60s, and are able-bodied, with no special needs. We have been on QM2 four years in a row (three involving crossings, one for New England), and have been on over 20 cruises on a variety of cruise lines.

To begin, I am copying in what “LB_NJ” wrote in review of their 4th of July 2018 cruise. I think these points are VERY important, to help ensure that you know what you’re getting into by sailing on QM2, hence the repeat:

“I have learned that on cruises the attitude and how other passengers act very significantly affects your enjoyment of the cruise. If the other passengers are loud, obnoxious, rude and do not dress appropriately they can ruin your cruise. On the other hand if the other passengers behave appropriately for the cruise then you can have a better time.
