Royal Caribbean – Voyager of the Seas, what can I say. Our room was dirty, but that is surely not the fault of the staff as I think that their time is limited as to how much they spend on each room. Maybe 5 minutes. Tired, out dated, heaps of rust in areas on the balcony. Needed to use the toilet brush at one stage and on giving the toilet a thorough clean, it was sickening the amount of black mould that was under the rim. 8 flushes to get rid of it, so I now know why there was a consistent black ring around the bowl at water level. Bathroom glass shelves had left over residue from previous users, i.e. toothpaste, rubbish left in bins and the room had a nasty musty smell to it. Two tea bags and two small milk capsules in room for 2, plus a jug, but was loathe to use the water from the bathroom to fill it.

Food was below average. First night we went My time Dining, hot food served was cold, missing ingredients as per the menu and small portions, so even after 3 courses you were hungry. Caesar Salad ingredients were lettuce, 3 croutons and half a cup of dressing. Where was the parmesan, bacon and egg?? Buffet had much better options and you could get a decent plateful, but still average in quality, but it closed at 9pm, so no chance of a late night snack if you were hungry after the show. There was one area that was open 24hrs, but let’s hope you liked really tasteless pizza. Bar drinks were expensive as were coffee and anything else including bottled water.

Administration staff had very poor to almost no English, the guy that made our beds should swap with the ones taking your money at the desk. The staff, overall were excellent and did not hesitate to assist, but it could not make up for the tired décor and very poor quality of the food.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin was dirty and had not had a thorough cleaning for about 6 months. Only the bed linen and the towels were fresh. Lots of rust on the balcony and never saw any staff doing maintenance while the ship was docked like other companies do. I didnt chose this ship, the tour chose it.
