I chose this cruise for the go kart and drop floor water slide. This was my first Norwegian cruise and at first, I was very frustrated with the fact that you had to reserve just about everything. Things ran more smoothly once I finally figured out everything, till Hurricane Sergio came and caused us to skipped Puerto Vallarta and arrive in Cabo a day earlier. I really wish we could have at least spent more time in Cabo to make up for skipping Puerto Vallarta. Also another issue was scheduleing tinder times for Cabo. I was told to do it as soon as I got on the ship, then I was told I could do it anytime, then two days before Cabo, I saw an official word in the freestyle daily and that was the best advice I got. Instead of going to the theatre box office, I went to the video panels that was located by the elevators and made my reservation for the tender there.
The dining was awesome and I had a hard time trying to decide what I was going to eat which was great. The family strangers band was my favorite and they brought the party on the pool deck. I would often find myself canceling my other plans just to listen to them. The all access spa pass was well worth it and my favorite part of the spa was the heated chair WHICH I would often fall asleep in. The drop floor slide was scary every time because I always had an operator who did not run the countdown which made it more exciting. I would also go on it multiple times just for the scare factor, but the slide was very smooth. I also heard that they had an all day go kart pass as well.
The disembarkation process was very smooth and started at 7 a.m. and what I liked about the ship was they had the buffet opened for us in the morning unlike other cruise lines I’ve been on that served us pastries instead of hot breakfast. The cruise line also had shuttles from the cruise terminal to LAX for $20 on the day of disembarkation.
