We chose this ship because we live in the area and there aren't too much cruises outside of the Ensenada booze cruise. We learned of this brand new ship on the Mexican Riviera and have had good experiences with Norwegian in the past so we booked this months before.

We stayed in the Haven Aft-Facing Balcony Penthouse room. It had a living room and bedroom with 2 bathrooms. My mom and her husband stayed in a balcony stateroom that I never visited but she said it was fine. Between the 2 rooms we had 4 kids, 3 12 year olds and 1 3 year old. The kids slept in between rooms but most nights in our Haven room we had my 3 year old and 2 of the 12 year olds who slept on the fold out bed. It was enough space for us since cruise rooms are typically tight.

The balcony of this room is amazing. It's huge and the view can't be beat. Every port we sailed out of, we would hang out on the balcony as we sailed off. In the mornings when we would dock, I watched the boat get tied up.

Port Reviews

Puerto Vallarta

Not much exciting to do here. We took a cab to the Malecon boardwalk and walked around. There were random dogs walking around and just people selling stuff everywhere so we went back to the boat after buying a few random things.
