I chose the cruise because of the interesting itinerary. The best part of the cruise was Dominique, who gave fascinating lectures before we arrived at each port. She was prepared, informative and her enthusiasm was infectious. The sea was rougher than I had hoped for but I think you have to be prepared for some roughness going across the North Atlantic. I was in a suite and did not feel as though I had the usual extra VIP treatment that a suite usually gets me. I was particularly disappointed with the arrangements made to get us off the ship early in each port. It was a long cruise, but well worth the time. The one memory I will always have of this trip is throwing snowballs or at least making snowballs in the snow and wind when we reached the glacier. I also love the contrast between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Seeing these two places in succession really made the differences based on the history and the settlers very striking.

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SE

The large balcony was nice but the weather made it a little hard to enjoy.

Port Reviews

Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

We enjoyed the western scenery and had time to explore the downtown on our own

Portland (Maine)

We rented a car and saw sights on our own. No need for a tour here.
