A little apprehensive having read some of the reviews about Marella Dream we went with realistic expectations as it is a well travelled ship and not new, just out of the shipyard. We were very very pleasantly surprised at what we experienced. Everything was squeaky clean, the crew and staff were there to make you feel valued and they did without exception. The food in the two buffet restaurants was ok, not brilliant, but in the Orion was very good with excellent choice. We even paid the little amount extra to eat in the 3 speciality restaurants and they were absolutely fabulous and well worth it.

The standard all inclusive drinks package is also excellent, we couldn’t see why anyone would upgrade at huge cost as there were branded drinks in the standard one including in excess of 20 cocktails.

Did a few excursions which if a little pricey we’re well organised and hassle free. We booked them before we went and one of them was not available on the day and we didn’t go to one port where we had one booked so I am hoping that the process for getting refunds is a smooth one.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

As mentioned above the cost to have a balcony cabin is extortionate relative to everything else but leaving that aside it was beautifully clean with great bed and powerful shower and Norman our steward was outstanding in the service he provided.
