First cruise ever - very exited and expectations were met.
Although additional expenses climbed onboard (add-on prices for speciality restaurants, some bars, some wines and games) the trips was very nice and the staff very friendly and service minded (from cabin staff to director). One of the directors even spotted my partners limp from a twist of the foot and within 10 min, an ice-bag was delivered to the room.
They charged 20USD to visit the Ice-bar - forget it ! No bar should be an additional charge once onboard. The Sushi restaurant added 16 USD extra even with a speciality restaurant package - odd, but it turned out to be super quality both in taste and service.
A minor thing - I'm a coke cola (zero) fan, and this is an all pepsi ship … bad !
Since I bought the full drinks and beverage package, you should think that a coke zero would be allowed on board from the port, but no!
But the food was great - really great. We bought a ticket with 4 speciality restaurants and tried 3 (Cagney's twice), all of them very good. We did not book in advance but we were seated without any problems.
We also tried the SPA treatments - expensive, but super nice. Very good experience with a skilled and friendly staff. Very professional and skilled.
Access to the SPA pool area was too expensive and not worth it. (but not crowded)
Played along in a public game "Deal or no deal" in the atrium. fun and entertaining but a little to short. We could easily have played twice as long and people (100+) were exited and happy doing it.
The cabin was excellent (with balcony). Little or no noice, sufficient room and a very nice bed. Cabin staff was polite and efficient. Handled everything when we were out, so when we got back, it was nice and clean.
Getting on and off the ship after the initial boarding was quick and efficient.
One small item - they tried to push ART so bad that it became a bother. I dont do a cruise to buy Art (surprise!) and other activities would be nicer to have onboard instead.
The island of St.Thomas was not so good as they had taken quite a beating from the recent storms. Everything looked worn and broken and the excursion was too expensive for the actual contents on the trip. A simple snorkle dive would have been sufficient and better.
Overall a very well maintained ship, clean and good use of space. Did not want to go home after 8 days.
Would I do it again with the same ship - yes ! (may be with corkage prices I can sneak some coke zero onboard :-) )
Queen bed and a couch, own bathroom, all nice and high quality, especially the bed.
Good balcony and sound reduction.
fanastic how well the dolphins are trained. A little lame with the snorkeling inside the lagoon (not much sea life) but still, som small fish were there. The lagoon itself was not interesting but the Dolphins alone was worth it!
