I thought this would be a great way to unwind, first holiday in two years, better weather up north, thought I would be looked after with good food etc.

The room was not as advertised, which implied we were getting a 4 berth suite, and instead we got a queen berth with a couch and pull down bunk. You try to share a small room with two 8 year olds who had the most comfortable beds and you will know what I mean, my partner and I had a) a bunk, b) a couch. The carpet in the room was manky and damp and the bathroom had a cracked Basin, we had a window that was cloudy with damage or something other - i have a photo if you want it. The water from the bathroom tap was making me sick, I found out when I started getting hives and an allergic reaction similar to when I eat shellfish. No signs discourage me from filling my water there and "the pantry" discourages me from filling my water there, so what, you want to deny people to have a basic human necessity unless you pay for it??

The food was disgraceful, with UHT milk used and most dishes and desserts tasting like that came from a packet mix or bottle. Bread was stale at the pantry. Twice ate at the waterfront and yay fresh bread, but the risotto we ate - seriously I wouldn't feed that to my cat if I had one..
