Positives: Small upgrades make this ship special. Some windows slide open in the dining areas while in port....The room we had featured excellent storage...some of the restaurants featured outdoor cafe style seating. We really enjoyed the bathroom in our room - NO complaints about size of shower or function of parts. The gym features large oversized rain shower heads if you really want to treat yourself and there is almost never a crowd there.

Negatives: The jogging track was small, super crowded and placed badly in the flow of the ship. The ship as a whole has too many people for the entertainment venues - everything requires a reservation. We felt bad about it, but had to opt out and not show up for reservation we had made earlier in the cruise because we were just too tired. There is almost no opportunity to take in a show ("I feel like a seeing a comedian today") without waiting in a big line. NCL only opens ONE gangway in port to accommodate 4000 guests. How stupid! Try getting to your 7:30 am meeting on the pier through that gangway! The most irritating thing to us involved drink service in the casino. We have cruised 6 other NCL ships and have been able to order comped drinks (within reason) using our free drink card given to us with the cruise. NOW you can only order beer, house wine or house liquor - not Mai Tais, or drink of the day without an up charge. We do not drink enough to justify the UDP, so this SUCKED for us!

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

You can tell right away that this is a newer ship than some we have cruised. The bathroom is AWESOME (compared to some). The toilet is oriented so it is usable (not always the case) and the glassed shower seems larger. Plenty of storage cubby holes in this room. Experienced cruisers know to store their luggage under the bed- if you do this, the room will amaze you with it's ability to store all your things and still stay neat. Foot rest in the shower for leg shaving. Tasteful led lights above the door for DND / Please clean, etc. Heavy sliding door to the balcony- quiet too - no door slamming from neighbors.
