Travelled down on Eavesway coaches to Southampton, faultless as ever and got to the ship in plenty of time, embarkation smooth and we were soon on ship, this was first time on Silhoutte after previously sailed on the Eclipse, found to be almost identical in layout only changes since we last sailed were the Lawn Grill and Cabana's on the top deck.
Itenary was lovely, first time visit to The Azores and Maderia, which we both loved, lovely Black and White cobbled streets, people and weather were lovely, Canary Islands were nice and warm for the time of year, spent a bit of time shopping and the rest sunbathing, Lisbon on the way back was fantastic, loved the open top bus and Tapas in the main square.
As far as the boat is concerned we tried Sushi on 5 for lunch on one occasion, staff as helpful as ever and pointed towards some lovely food , well worth paying the extra as was the Lawn Grill, a Tad expensive but as much meat as you could eat cooked right in front of your eyes (my advice is don't have the flat bread starter) main dining room was excellent always plenty of choice .
First visit here, lovely old world feel.
North side is very much the commercial side, with lovely big shopping areas.
Beach close by so had a lovely relaxing day.
Everything went smoothly.
Very similar to the Azores, lovely cobbled streets, very relaxed.
Weather was lovely, found a nice beach (again)
Lovely city to visit, always something new to find, food and drink in abundance, take the hop on/hop off bus for best value.
