We recently sailed to Canada & New England on the Regal Princess and had a great time. It was a bit too cold out to do much on the top deck, so we mostly stayed inside.Unfortunately the weather in Bar Harbor was bad and we had to skip it, we had a day at sea instead and the crew put together lots of fun activities on very short notice to keep everyone occupied. This was our 2nd cruise ever and even though we loved it, there were a few things we didn't like as much as our previous cruise with Celebrity.
We booked a Club Class Mini Suite, which was very nice, but the Mini Suite we had on the Celebrity Solstice for roughly the same price was roomier and and overall a lot more comfortable.
We thought the buffet food wasn't very good compared to the main dining room(s) which was excellent. They had a small section of the dining room for Club Class members, which was nice, but we preferred Celebrity's approach where they had a whole separate special restaurant for Suite guests. We also tried the Crowne Grill specialty steakhouse and it was probably one of the best steaks I ever had. The international cafe and alfredo's pizza were both great, but we thought the Gelato wasn't nearly as good as on Celebrity... it was just pain generic ice cream and shouldn't have cost extra.
The cabin was nice and clean, and our cabin attendant worked tirelessly to keep everything clean. Every time we left the room we saw her working, like she never got a break. The place would always be spotless for us when we came back. We just wished the cabin was a bit bigger.
