The overall experience was enjoyable. The food was mostly good, sometimes very average but occasionally excellent. The shore excursions were partially spoiled by having to go to ‘shopping’ experiences such as gemstone factories that used extremely high pressure sales techniques. The coffee was terrible - both the free coffee and the paid coffee, I recommend you give up coffee during your cruise and drink tea. The staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. It was disappointing that all the extras were expensive such as $30 to play bingo. The deck chairs were comfortable. The bed and pillows were luxurious. Some of the onboard games and entertainment was fun. The cruise band, dancers and singers were excellent. Overall it seemed as though they were always trying to extract more money out of you by encouraging you to but gimmicky artwork, jewellery, expensive shore excursions or buying alcohol, ice cream or coffee.
Pillows and mattress were superb.
Our desired excursion was full. So we went instead to a lovely resort for the day. Unfortunately at the end of the day we were herded into a gemstone shopping factory with extremely high pressure sales techniques that were was unpleasant.
