We wanted to go to Cuba in October for my in laws 60th anniversary and my husband's birthday. There were 9 of us that went. My husband and I had a suite so we had lots of perks including getting on the ship much faster and debarking much easier and faster than other people. And they were always so nice to let our whole group to go with us. We had a great butler, named Rogin, he brought us lots of bacon sandwiches every afternoon and took very good care of us. And our Concierge was Jahera- she was so sweet and helped with booking our excursions and our dinner reservations and anything else we needed. I would definitely recommend booking a suite if at all possible. We also had unlimited adult beverage package, which was nice. The food on this cruise was wonderful. We have cruised with Princess many times and we thought the food on NCL was better. However , it was a smaller ship so that may have a little to do with it. The waiters were all so fun and the service was awesome.
We didn't get to stop in the Bahamas because of the hurricane, but we did stop in Cuba and it was so interesting and like going back in time. I feel very sorry for the Cubans tho-very oppressed. Another stop was Belize -Harvest Caye which was really just an island owned by NCL - so it was really nice. Nice pool and decent beach-didn't really go in to Belize City which was ok with me. Costa Maya Mexico wasn't too great. We did a Dune Buggy excursion then they took us to a very crowded beach. Mexico is also very poor so its very difficult not to feel sad for those people and spoiled as we go back to our nice comfortable cruise ship. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend NCL to everyone.
Awesome! We had a suite on the back of the ship (AFT) . Our daughter stayed in the room with us - the sofa in the living room made out into a bed. It wasn't very comfortable but they brought her lots of extra bedding to make it comfy.
Very nice pool (resort area) and ok beach.
