I chose this cruise to celebrate my adult son's birthday along with his fiancee! We decided to fly in the day before our cruise (something I highly recommend) to counter possible flight delays and to relax in beautiful Barcelona. From the time we boarded the ship, until the time we were escorted off by our wonderful Royal Genie, Smitha Thompson, we couldn't begin to imagine what a "shipload of memories" we would be carrying home with us! Every specialty restaurant where we ate, seemed to top the previous one. Insofar as our dining experience, being a Star Class suite occupant, we were able to indulge in the many specialty restaurants available. To pick a favorite is impossible, as each night we dined at a different restaurant, seemed to be better than the last. The food was cooked to perfection, the wait staff were friendly and encouraging to try different dishes - overall, it was a delight to indulge in dishes we would normally not do at home. Besides our Royal Genie, Smitha, who seemed to anticipate our every need, our housekeeping attendant, Sheldon McNichols, made sure our Aqua Theater suite was comfortable, inviting, and relaxing when we returned from our shore excursions, or from the many activities on board the ship! We actually looked forward to returning to our suite after each and every shore excursion (which was extremely well-organized by RCCL), because we knew inviting snacks, cocktails, or soft drinks awaited us! The activities on board are amazing - from the Ultimate Abyss to the zipline, and the entertaining shows at night, there is just so much to either occupy your time, or you can just relax - whatever you desire, it's there for you! We loved our cruise through the Mediterranean so much, we booked another, back-to-back cruise to the Caribbean. If you haven't done a Star Class cruise, then it is well worth the money, but more important, the memories you share as a family will last a lifetime. We've definitely found a cruise home with Royal Caribbean International!

Cabin Review

AquaTheater Suite with Large Balcony - 2 Bedrooms

Cabin A2

In celebrating my son's birthday, when we entered the suite, it was decorated to invite a celebration and the cake, champagne, and snacks ensured our cruise started off with a BANG!! The beds, pillows, and comfortable furnishings enticed you to relax and enjoy yourself!

Port Reviews

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

Be prepared, because there is lots of walking - but, well worth the value!!

Marseille

My son and his fiancee took the kayaking trip, but was disappointed as it was not as advertised. I took the tour of Marseille, but we did have to alter a few things, since there were protests the day we went.

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)

Beautiful tour and very informative!

Rome (Civitavecchia)

This tour included a visit to St. Peter's Basilica, Trevi Fountain, and the Coliseum. The history alone is worth the trip!

Naples

Lots of walking, but the views, history, and the places visited was well worth the time!
