We planned to meet family in Dublin in mid September, and came across this cruise - the 12 day British Isles portion - which fit perfectly with our timing.

We flew from Canada (Edmonton via Westjet) to LGW, and immediately took the train from the airport directly to Southampton.

There we had an enjoyable evening at the Regent Guest House - a quiet, early dinner and then to sleep to overcome the jet lag. The next morning, after an excellent included breakfast at the Regent, and short ride to the cruise terminal, we were on board the Royal Princess in under one hour. That was about 12:30 and our mini suite was ready.
