I chose this particular cruise because of the ports of call, and no ‘at sea’ days. Booked well over a year in advance, I started reading reviews on many different sites and was becoming a little concerned but thankfully fretted over nothing (surely couldn’t have been worse than my P&’n’O experience earlier this year.
Onboard announcements were in a number of languages, English being first, and all were clear and informative. There were many Italians, French, Spanish, German, American, Australian and few British passengers onboard, I actually liked having a great mix of cultures.
The ship was well laid out, from the sun terraces to the lounges. Very easy to navigate.
Great size, a little larger than most I’ve been on in the past. Well presented in furniture comfort and colour scheme.
A kettle would have been nice.
Being at the back of the ship a little bit of vibration but nothing to bad.
Bus ride required into Bari itself. I think it was an 8€ fee.
I walked from the port into the town, 10mins. I was going to sit on the beach, but a big storm had passed through the day before and it was a bit of a mess!!
I then discovered a little train, bus thing that you could ride to one of the better beaches just outside of town.
Beautiful place. Mandatory boat ride from new port to old 6€. So, so many people everywhere though....... made it difficult to navigate most of the many narrow and winding streets.
Tender to shore for this port. Stayed onboard the ship due to a number of negative views about this place. However, it looked nice from the ship !!!
