We selected the Sun purely for its itinerary - Cuba and the close proximity of the port. This was a 4 day cruise out of Port Canaveral to Key West and Havana.
We were able to drive to the port in one day directly to port. We parked across the street in the parking garage and walked over. There was no line to check in, and we checked in around 11:00 am and boarded easily and quickly around 11:30 am. The ship was renovated in May, is very clean and service was good. The Cuban cruises automatically have the drink package but was not the "booze cruise" that your 4-day cruises are labeled as. We ate lunch in the MDR and went to our cabin soon after that. Muster was outside, waited for some inconsiderate passengers who thought muster wasn't for them and then sailed on time.
Food: For the first time in almost 30 cruises, I had a hard time finding something to eat on a cruise. The MDR food was too bland, most of the buffet food items were inedible - my husband was surprised that even I couldn't find anything to eat.
Small cabin - since it's an older ship, the bathroom was also very smaill.
