This cruise was to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we wanted to experience places in Europe we have never been before. The itinerary we booked was for 6 ports starting in Warmemmunde (Berlin). When we arrived in Berlin a few days before the cruise was scheduled to pick us up, we received texts messages form NCL saying that they were not going to stop in Berlin and that we had to get to Copenhagen with only $300 to help us get there. Last minute flights from Berlin to Copenhagen were over $800 each. The train and taxis we did take cost us over $300. And we cancelled the tours and tickets we pre-purchased for tours in Berlin and the connecting bus to the Berlin port (about $500). Then while on the ship, our schedule was shifted back a day since we had to spend an extra day in Tallinn, so by the time we left St. Petersburg we had to skip the port stops in Helsinki and Stockholm in er to get back to Copenhagen on time. We were credited back some or our pre-paid excursion costs and then recharged what we did take but it was not made clear to us if this was and equitable credit/charge. Also, when we boarded we did not get our Platinum rewards coupons and invitations so the first night we dined in Cagney's as our reward dinner we had to go round and round with the restaurant manager and the Cruise Next desk to get the rewards we were entitled to. Because our Platinum benefits were given to us late, we missed the Latitudes cocktail party and behind the scenes tour. Also,, the laundry initially charged us when it should have been free. All these corrections to our bill and benefits required us to stand in long lines at Customer Service, Cruise Next or Shore Excursions to get fixed. Overall, we were not very happy about our experience.

Aft-Facing Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

The cabin was great. It was nice to have an aft-facing balcony so the wind was not a factor.
