Embarkation was pretty straight forward. We didn't have to wait too long before we were able to board the ship. Once on board, we explored on our own for a bit before grabbing lunch at Windjammer. The food was decent but I felt that they tried too hard to be different. A lot of the options were way too fancy for the simple palate of my 4 kids. I get the need to have a variety, but they really need to have a nice balance of "basic" and exotic.

Night one began what would ultimately be 3 days of rough seas thanks to Hurricane Michael. The motion sickness was almost unbearable for me. Thankfully, my kids were not bothered by it. I took non-drowsy Dramamine, drank ginger ale, tried essential oils, ate green apples....all of the recommended remedies to try and combat the horrible feeling. They only think that seemed to help was sleep. Not exactly how I planned to spend this vacation.

Day 2 was a full day at sea. The on board activities are geared more towards adults, and not families in my opinion. My kids tried the kids club activities but did not enjoy it. Basically, they put them in a big room and let them run around. It didn't sound like they had any organized activities for them. Just a free for all. My oldest said the same thing about the teen club. This makes for a VERY long day at sea. Once back in our room at the end of Day 2, we were informed that our excursion planned for Grand Cayman (swimming with the sting rays) had been cancelled because of weather. Somewhat of a bummer, but we were still looking forward to getting off of the boat the next day and exploring on our own. Anything to be back on solid ground!

Cabin Review

Interior

The cabin was what we expected. We tend to go cheap on rooms since we don't plan on spending much time in them. We had enough room for the 4 of us to move around.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Did some shopping and went to Paradise Beach. It was just nice to be off of the boat for a day.
