I have cruised with Princess numerous times before out of Australia, and this was my first onboard the Majestic. It fell well short of my expectations. Bigger and newer doesn't always mean better. The ship was designed and built for the Chinese. It lacked the numerous nice bar/lounge areas to relax in, as with other ships in the Princess line, like the Explorers Lounge or Wheelhouse Bar. They tried to convert the "High Rollers Gaming Lounge", used when in Asia, into the Crooners Bar, but it had not ambiance or atmosphere. There was a definite lack of quiet sitting areas, and it was often difficult to find seating with the 3500 plus passengers.

The Vista Lounge during daily trivia was often over capacity with passengers standing, or leaving as there was no room, it wasn't helped by the fact that the Vista Lounge was often set up with the Art Auction Easles taking up valuable space.

There is also no open bar in the vista lounge, or the casino on this ship.

Cabin IF

Nice cabin, with a great TV system, large flat screen TV with on demand movies at no extra charge. A large open wardrobe/hanging space area. Quiet with good air conditioning controls.
