Before I review our cruise I am going to share my experience at the muster drill and why Carnival needs to change this up before someone gets seriously injured or sick. We were on the ship early and had 2 drinks and lunch and then went to our room to change and my husband wanted a short nap before muster. I put away some items and went out on the deck to read. It was really hot so I came in and read a little more.
Muster started and we went to deck 4 and got in line. It was really hot and muggy and there were a lot of people rows and rows of people. Muster started and people were not paying attention, there were a few who indulged a but before muster and staff was trying to get them under control. As it went on I was getting very clammy and sweaty. I could feel my heart racing a bit and the next thing I remember is my husband calling my name. I fainted due the heat. A staff member came over and helped lead me out but I went down again. They got a wheelchair for me and proceeded to get me to medical. Meanwhile the drill was over and people were trying to get back to their rooms or wherever so we were pretty much caught in the cluster of rude people pushing and not letting us get to medical. I declined medical since they wanted $125 bucks to see me. Really? I think this should have been on Carnival since we were forced to stand in the heat. I ended up back in my room with a lot of water and air conditioning. Our first day was pretty much ruined.
The cruise itself was okay. We had a suite and Faster to the Fun so we were on early but so were a lot of others. We had our Guys Burgers and 2 drinks and then went back to the suite before muster.
We really loved the roominess of the suite. Lots of extra space and a big balcony. Bed would have been better if they could just appoint a king bed instead of pushing the twins together. It always split during the night.
Location was decent but being we were close to the glass elevators we got a lot of noise from the atrium, especially if they had music going on.
