Live in San Francisco area so loved how easy it was to walk on and off. Beautiful cruise. The Grand Princess, however, needs refurbishing. Halls smelled strongly of mildew. Sailing under Golden Gate is wonderful-never get tired of it. Overall, very organized and low key cruise-loved it. Port tours were fun. Went to Solvang,Queen Mary via uber, San Diego harbor cruise and City Lights tour-great tours. We had three in a suite so cramped but we are easy going so we were ok. Our weather cooperated even though we were just missing hurricane coming up west coast. Disembark tour of San Francisco was also excellent. People on this cruise were nice, a quiet, very relaxing cruise. Loved Movies Under the Stars. The staff everywhere was professional and helpful and very accommodating and joyful-loved how wonderful everyone was. I would do this again as many have because it’s so easy to walk on and off and not deal with airports and because it was a relaxing time.

Grand Suite with Balcony

This ship needs a refurbishing desperately. Sleeper couch old and dirty room worn. Halls smelled badly of mildew. I ordered a cot because sleeper couch germs scared me to sleep. There were 3 in our room. Cot awful, huge droop in the middle. First mattress reeked if urine. Asked for another mattress and then again Asked for a second mattress tand they brought it along with plywood to put under the 2 mattresses. That made it better, but they need to buy new rollaways for Bains with more than 2 people. They also couldn’t seem to remember there were 3 of us, not 2. We had to keep asking Steward and room service for a third of everything-never did get everything including slippers. Tour organizers inside ship very bored and didn’t even offer elevators to mobility impaired. Not up to Princess service at all. Tender crew excellent. Dining, front desk, spa, actual tours themselves all excellent. Waking on and off ship great-no airports. Embarkation escort for us/Suite and Elite extraordinary. Cruise itself wonderful.
