Quite a long cruise -28 days. The cruise was enjoyable and the staff fantastic. The food in the Britannia restaurant was sublime. We mainly found the entertainment boring. Some of the good speakers had uninteresting subjects while others had a poor delivery. Eg a lecture on dining at the White House was 40 years out of date and not very interesting at that.
My biggest disappointment was the excursions I took 3 trips all overpriced. On one we visited a pulp mill, a small house that had survived a flood and a large pyramid made out of road signs! That cost £100 between my husband and myself for 2 hours. The biggest rip off was in Halifax NS. We left the port, having had to change our plans. We decided to go independently on a hop on hop off tour. At the desk I asked for the price. Which ship was I on. I asked why? “Well we need your cruise card” I wanted to pay cash. No. QE2 cost $64,
Celebrity $49 I subsequently found Viking passengers paid $35, same bus, same seat same tour. I walked!!
Generally ok . Stuffy but to be expected furnishings ok but carpet filthy. Steward did his best overall
