This being my first cruise, and not heeding the advice to get there one day before...I had booked my flight to arrive in San Juan that afternoon, giving me a supposed 7 hour cushion between landing and leaving port.

Of course, our flight ended up being delayed, then almost canceled due to engine failure, then delayed once again to find a new plane -- then a whole replacement crew -- and we eventually arrived 10 hours delayed, to learn we had missed our embarkation. We did meet up with the ship at the next port, Tortola, after much anxiety.
