I chose this cruise in order to explore the Norwegian coast, its islands, its scenery, its ports and its people. As a boating enthusiast I was also interested in the navigation of this `inside passage`, and the essential functions of this ship in linking many remote communities, transporting people and freight between them.

I was not disappointed on any of these counts. The journey was constantly fascinating, with great views of the mountainous coast, the islands and the ports. There were many opportunities to go ashore at these ports and meet local people, as well as a great variety of special tours to visit specific destinations (eg Lofoten Islands) or undertake particular activities (eg RIB tours).

Although this is a working boat the accommodation and dining facilities were very good, and the crew most helpful. A tour manager kept an eye on everything and produced a daily schedule of the boat`s itinerary and onboard events.

Cabin Review

Cabin Polar Outside

Twin cabin (two beds) with window for outside view. Excellent ensuite washroom, toilet, and shower. Wardrobe and small chest of drawers. Luggage stored on board outside cabin.
