We booked this cruise last minute out of Tampa for a great price. This marked our 12th cruise but first on Royal Caribbean. The overall appearance of the ship was pretty good, the ship is showing some age but still beautiful. The highlight was Chops Steakhouse. I had some reservations because I felt like they would be attempting to do a fine steakhouse with a low quality steak. I was wrong, it was a great meal. The steak was tender of perfectly cooked. The sides were great and the service was solid.

There are a couple of negatives. Smoking.... half of the pool deck is dedicated to smoking. If you were using that side of the ship, you had to walk through plumes of smoke. The location is near the main pool. Kids can’t use the large adults only serentity deck and they have to fight the smoke (windows and partial roof enclosed) in the pool area. Also, the smoke ventilation system in the casino is poor, smoke wafts into the main atrium from the 4th floor to the 7th floor. The kids club should also be revamped. There isn’t a lot for the kids to do. Mine rated it below NCL, Carnival, and Disney. The entertainment was OK, standard for a small ship.
