This was our tenth cruise with Royal Caribbean and second time on Independence. It's a lovely ship with wonderful staff. We enjoyed our cruise but did feel it's going down the Butlins at sea route! The food in the windjammer (we always found a seat with no problem!)was very good but the main dining room food was definitely poorer than previous years. We ate in all the speciality dining options, the food & service in all of them was excellent. We always found a sunbed mainly on deck 12 where it was nice & quiet! Our favourite bar on the ship was the Viking Crown with lovely staff especially Kirk & Dina. We also watched lots of dolphins from here. We didn't bother with any of the shows as we have seem them all before. We had an outside cabin on deck 2. It was very quiet & the only noise we heard was when docking. Our room attendant Mass was excellent. Nothing was to much trouble. All the staff on the ship were so friendly, polite & helpful but we do feel that they are now over worked with the amount of extra passengers since the re-fit. Although we love Independence of the Seas we feel it's not for us any more. We will probably go back to the smaller ships Brilliance or Jewel of the Seas or even look at other cruise lines for next year.

Time for a change!
