For us Celebrity offer the best cruises sailing from Southampton. Having always been on the Eclipse in the past we wondered if her sister ship the Silhouette would be her equal. Once on board we soon realised we didn't have to worry as for us she exceeded all we had previously enjoyed on the Eclipse. One notable addition was the Lawn Club Grill on deck 16 - one of the excellent speciality restaurants on the ship. Our lamb chops and rib eye steak were the best we have ever tasted (we have had many at home and on other cruise lines).My wife was invited to prepare and cook her own flatbread under the guidance of the chefs and she made such a good job of it she was offered a four month contract!!! The service we received throughout the ship was exceptional even by Celebrities' high standards. Although the entertainment and selection and cost of shore excursions were not always to our liking we had a wonderful cruise experience and have already booed for next year. Sadly there was one negative and for us a big one after we had left the ship. The luggage collection process was both frustrating and very disappointing. One of our cases was minus its identification tag and therefore not at the designated collection point. When we asked staff members where it might be the initial response was 'don't know' until eventually after much searching and one helpful member of staff we found it alongside many others with no tags. It was at this time we heard from other passengers who had damaged items of luggage delivered to their cabin at embarkation. A sad end to a great holiday!
