We choose this cruise because we had not been to this area before. We were excited to visit and tour Copenhagen, Denmark and the 5 planned stops: Berlin, Germany; Talinn, Estonia; St. Petersburg, Russia; Helsinki, Finland; and Stockholm, Sweden.

Due to bad weather we missed 3 out of 5 stops. While the shore excursions we booked were cancelled for those stops, we did receive credit for them. However, we missed the opportunity to visit & see the cities. We stopped in Talinn and had a very informative tour of the city. It rained most of the day and the wind made it even more uncomfortable walking on cobblestones. The best weather days were in St. Petersburg. We had two very nice days and outstanding tours of the city and the Hermitage and other outstanding sights.

While on board the ship the weather prevented us from using the outside decks & facilities. The theater on the ship was too small for the capacity of the ship. We were only able to see one show because the lines were too long. The shopping was below what we have experienced on other smaller ships, fewer stores and the prices were high. The food was very good but, again, the crowding made it difficult to dine in a specific restaurant at the times we wished to dine. Our balcony stateroom was very good and all of the people and services were good. However, I expect we will avoid ships of this size in the future.
