I’d never been on a sea cruise before but my partner had and recommended Tui. Overall the cruise was good, value for money definitely (compared to other cruise lines). Could be a bit Butlinsy but we decided we’d do our own thing and make it work for us, which I feel is a plus that we could do that. the islands buffet restaurant was pretty dire (noisy, chaotic and unpleasant food) so after one attempt we just avoided it.. the other restaurants were very good so we went to them for all our meals. There was a bit of a problem with speed of service at certain bars but we quickly found ones that were ok and used them. We avoided the pool area, just teeming with kids who took over, our fault for going in August I guess. We found the quieter areas to sunbathe and the indoor pool restricts access to kids at certain times of the day, didn’t go on any of the excursions but found our own way round, ie train to Acropolis, more fun that way. Cabin was fine and the problem we had with the air conditioning was quickly sorted, the comedian on board was excellent and the rest of the entertainment was fairly good too, would go again just not in August.
