We chose the Star Princess 5 day getaway to Cabo from Los Angeles because we will be sailing on the Star in December to Buenos Aires and wanted to check out the ship since we have never cruised on Princess before.

We drove to the Port of Los Angeles at San Pedro. Finding the actual parking lot was a little tricky using google maps, but once we found the correct entrance, it was very easy and parking was close to the ship. It was supposed to be $18 per day, but when we picked up our car, their credit card machine was not working and they were accepting any cash we had on hand - so it only cost $32 for 5 days

Embarking went very smoothly. We arrived at the port at noon and were in our cabin by 1pm. There were plenty of friendly agents for check in and a lounge where they separated us by section so that it didn't seem like a long wait.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin IE

Nice interior cabin. I was a little worried about it being so far forward in the ship, especially since we were on the tail end of a hurricane. I am also fussy about noise. Neither was a problem. I heard very little noise from the other cabins and the little movement we felt was actually relaxing. The room was spacious enough for the two of us. I liked that there was a refrigerator, though we only used it for ice. The bed was very comfortable. There was a nice sized tv, but we only turned it on a couple of times. The little side table was a little odd, since you had to walk around it to get to the bed, but it did give you an extra place to put things
