Ruby Princess Cruise Review by wilsonhs
- Sail Date: September 2018
- Destination: Pacific Coastal
Embarkation was exceptional. We arrived at 1115 AM and were on the ship in 20 minutes. Written material suggested we arrive at 2:30 PM based on our deck. I'd recommend going early.
Wine and liquor prices continue to increase. No happy hour or wine card available. Things continue to change and the experience becomes unpredictable.
Crown Grill dinner was the worst in nine cruises. Our reservation was lost even though the Maitre' de was personally involved. There were not enough servers or waiter. Food was served family style which resulted in a lot of waste. Food also arrived at different times, first entrée, later potatoes, later vegetables, later baked potato condiments. The "special salt" was never offered. Heirloom tomato salad didn't have heirloom tomatoes. Molten lave cake which was advertised to be served with double chocolate ice cream was served with vanilla ice cream. In all, dinner was a substandard product, it wasn't special! We should have eaten in the main dining room.
