We choose this Viking Cruise (not river cruise) to see how Viking does compared to other cruise lines (particularly Regent, Oceania, Celebrity). Viking is getting (three years in a row) some very high marks in the "Cruising" industry.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Viking experience but not necessariy "The Best".........
We loved not seeing the photography, casino, the art autions and liked the "included" shore excursions. We did book a couple of non "included" shore excursions because of personal preferences.

Cabin was great
the category, Varanda Penthouse is a little misleading; the Penthouse was not your normal "penthouse"..........no butler or specail service........just a little bigger than the smallest cabin and at midship--sitll a very roomy cabin
