This cruise was chosen as part of an overland Spain/Portugal tour. Everything about the cruise as a part of EverGreen tours was well organised and professional. The rooms were well decorated and appointed. Everything was exceptionally clean. The quality of the food prepared by a chef and his team was exceptional . Food provided for breakfast and lunch was also wonderful with a large variety and choice available. Wine was overflowing and good quality. The tours that were an included part of our larger tour were extremely good value showing the particular features of Portuguese life ( eg Port wine, cork ) There were only 107 people on board and getting on and off the boat was easy. There was lots of free time to do our own exploring and guests were able to choose to stay on board if they wished.

Staff were amazing Their approach was friendly, engaging & helpful at all times. They were extremely professional in every role that they filled. They were also a lot of fun.

activities provided on board were engaging, interesting and informative.

Cabin Review

Cabin Panorama Balcony suite

The cabin was well appointed and decorated. It was extremely clean and the cleaning staff were amazing in their attention to detail. the cabin was small but this was to be expected on a river ship. there was however room to sit in one of the provided chairs and watch the world go by. There was adequate hanging and drawer space for clothes and suitcases coujld be stored under the bed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also as expected, on the smalll side but was an efficiently designed space.

Port Reviews

Pinhao

this was a little town and many of the businesses were closed for Siesta However we really enjoyed the walk through the village and up to the Croft vineyards with our guided tour. The tour was very informative and we ;earned such a lot about the development and making of Port wine It was detailed but interesting and of course followed by tasting

Vega de Terron (Salamanca)

This was a fabulous experience and I am glad we were able to visit this golden city. The day finished with a surprise treat. tuna musicians dressed in their medieval costumes played and sang to all those gathered there. We were also lucky to be there for the opening of the university year and saw the procession of University staff through the streets. Such luck
