This was our first time on a cruise as a couple and our first time cruising with Carnival. We have both cruise in the past on Royal Caribbean and we did extensive reading of reviews prior to booking with carnival. We are both in our mid twenties and we read mixed reviews on the legend but we decided to give it a try.

It was the best choice by far. We got to the port at 11:45 and we were dropping out stuff off in our room at 12:05. Our room steward was actually at our room when we dropped off our stuff and right away we got a good vibe. We ended up seeing him all over the ship throughout the sailing and he was fantastic. He cleaned our room much better than we could have and nothing ever went missing all week.

I was kind of disappointed reading others poor reviews about the food and the service and it made me more mad at those people writing the reviews. We talked with many of the people that waited on us and we realized that most of the people working on the ship if not all are away from their families for 8 months at a time with the absolute minimum amount of time to even communicate with them. We got to know each of our servers and if we saw any of them having a bad day we couldn't even get upset because we thought of what it would be like in their positions. Read more
