I had read so many reviews for Cunard and decided that seeing I had to go to the States for family reasons I would try a ship instead of all the hassle of airports. The crew were first class, food great, entertainment superb. Force 12 gale and not much movement. The only downside was disembarkation in New York, they only had 4 immigration desks open for over 2000 passengers , this caused massive queues and some very irate passengers. The experience on board gave me an appetite for more cruises. Cunard certainly ticked the boxes and have been on the other Queens but took my wife ( never cruised before) she really enjoyed the experience for someone who is not a keen traveller. The idea of just being able to drive up to the ship in Southampton and leave your car and collect when returning beats buses ,trains and flights to join your cruise.
I was expecting a small cabin with no frills but on entering I was knocked back to find a window overlooking the Atrium, it was a unexpected bonus.
