Had been on the Ruby last year to Alaska and booked this cruise while on board then. We wanted a simple cruise that went out of Seattle so we wouldn't have to fly.

It was a nice cruise , we were a little worried as the ship was going into dry dock the week after, so there was a concern about activity while we were cruising, but we noticed very little other than a litlle painting and they were loading materials in Victoria and Seattle.

The Ruby is a well run ship, the staff was very friendly and always helpful. Embarkation was the best we have ever experienced, basically walked right on the ship, the only line was when we had about 6 people ahead of us to get our picture taken. We had to wait to to get int our roo until 1:00 but a place was provided for us to eave our carryon luggage while we went to lunch.
