  3. Norwegian Pearl
We made the mistake of Carnival twice (first and last) then we took a cruise on the Spirit. We were amazed and had the greatest experience. Next cruise ~ Alaska. Only obvious we would try the Norwegian experience once again, aboard the Pearl. From the moment we entered until we left, the ship, the staff and the ports made for one dynamic vacation. There was a medical emergency that hindered our duration in Victoria but the way that the Captain and crew handled the situation made me feel even more confident that passengers come first. What a team they had aboard the ship. The care they gave to the individual and the response to the guests thereafter made me realize the professional, personal care they give to each and every one. The Captain could not apologize enough for the inconvenience he did not create nor anyone else on the ship could be accountable. So many were so reassured that if something should ever happen, Norwegian would take care of you, good or bad! The food, the ports, the activities and the consideration make this ship, Captain and crew one experience that should not be missed! THANK YOU NORWEGIAN - SEE YOU NEXT TRIP!

As much as everyone loves to see the hotels, Starbucks etc, this town Hoonah was inviting and untouched. Of course the port was updated and current but the town has remained true to its roots. A vision of the past with some conveniences to today. Great stop and time to get out and walk!

Wow. Skagway. We loved Skagway so much and is a definite repeat when we go back someday. The bus ride with Hyway with the most amazing driver ever, CJ!!! Awooooooooo wolf pack rules!!!!! CJ provided entertainment and historical content in the journey throught Skagway to Fraser BC into Carcross Yukon. The tips from CJ and her pure style made the bus quite the experience. We stopped for lunch and had the chance to shop and see sled dogs. Then off to catch the train after a time in Carcross shopping. The White Pass train is a must. To miss this piece of history would be a shame. An experience many will not have, the chance to ride in a model of an old train car and the opportunity to take pictures on the platform outside the train cabin!! WOW. Doesnt happen! Made the excitement exhilarating. Picking up hikers along the way. The smell of Christmas as you went through an area lined with spruce. The old wooden railway bridge. it give you an insight into Alaksa that makes one wonder today.....how did they do it?? HOW? An then the beauty.....it was the last vision of many a person. The horrific travelling conditions with hopes of a better life. One cant imagine. Then the train stopping in Skagway - one cannot miss this experience!!! Thank you Skagway - we LOVED every moment there!
