We we're excited to go on MSC for the first time after having great experiences on Royal and Norwegian. While the ship itself (Seaside) was beautiful and we loved the chocolate bar, everything else was disappointing. Cabin service was the worst we ever had. The room had layers of dust, the shower was not clean and I had to ask 3 times for the soap to be refilled. Even though we left the cabin at 7:30 a.m. the cabin wasn't cleaned until after noon which was inconvenient on at sea days when I wanted to relax after breakfast.

The food was mostly bad to average. I have always loved the museli on the other ships I have been on but on here it was horrible! Often sour tasting and just not tasty. The buffet food stayed the same 90% of the time and the desserts we're horrible. They only offered ice cream one night in the buffet. With 5000 people on board and not enough dining options, the buffet was often a complete cluster. Spoons were hard to find and plates would often pile up before anyone came around to clear. The second buffet on deck 16 was not open dinner time and opened a half hour to hour after the other one in the morning making the one on deck 8 like a zoo.

Hand sanitizer was not enforced or recommended like on the other cruises and with all the people I saw picking their noses, that was not a good thing.

Cabin Review

Aurea Balcony Stateroom

Dusty, remote didn't work a lot, had to continue asking for soap, shampoo was horrible, took very long time for cabin to be cleaned which was inconvenient.
