We've cruised about 20 times, four times on Celebrity and were looking forward to sampling the Solistice class ships and decided on Equinox and February to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
Because we live little more than an hour from the port, we chose not to arrive until 2:00 p.m. Result -- no lines and the speediest embarkation ever to our Aqua Class Veranda room. My wife's reaction to the room: "where can I put my stuff?"
While the room is neat and organized with a great wooden decked verandah,it is (to be polite) very compact. I was hoping that the new Solstice class ships would provide greater space for veranda rooms. (Our favorites are the mini-suites on Princess or similar rooms on Holland America.) Alas, Celebrity settled for compactness. The main drawback is the lack of drawer space for storage. There are only five dresser-size drawers. On the plus size (while my wife prefers full tubs) the multi-jet shower was fantastic and made getting up in the morning a treat.
Very compact. Needs more space -- especially drawer space or shelves. Perhaps adding shelves to storage area above beds would help. Bathroom shower is outstanding, but my wife prefers a tub. Well-insulated from outside noise. Attractive wooden deck verandah. Good large-screen TV.But, for what is supposed to be a higher class cabin, it is too small. (Compare to Princess mini-suites!)
