Our daughter, who is blind and has a Seeing Eye dog, completed her doctorate in Law and Advocacy in June and this trip was her “reward”. We had a balcony cabn guaranty and was upgraded to a mid-ship balcony. With taxes, fees, promotions and on board credits we paid $700 apiece for the 7 day trip up the inside passage of Alaska with stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria BC.

The Bliss is a beautiful ship but the design elements leave me scratching my head. A LOT of black and white, gray and white, black and gray, etc. It seemed to leave a dismal and sad feeling in many venues. The farics on the chairs (like in the Atrium) were stained and many had tears an holes (after only 5 months!).

Embarkation was smooth and easy. Arrived at 12:30 pm and was all unpacked by 1:00 pm. Loved the Garden Buffet stations. They were spread out and had little to no lines build up. We had the restaurant package so we ate in 8 of the on board venues and found them all above average.
