Despite having cruised dozens of times with Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Carnival, we have never submitted a review but felt this one was necessary due to our delight with this ship and cruise.

I want to begin with a feature that most surprised us due to having read negative reviews. The food was WONDERFUL. We ate almost exclusively at the buffet where the food surpassed any other cruise ship we can remember in variety, quantity, and quality from the first lunch to the last breakfast on the morning of debarkation. Yes, for lunch, there was consistently a large number of sandwiches offered (IN ADDITION to other selections), but it was a smorgasbord of delicious gourmet sandwiches. The buffet was never crowded; your napkin and silverware were waiting at your table; and attentive wait staff quickly brought your beverages to you unless you preferred to get your own.

A feature that we experienced for the first time was the Medallion encased in a plastic cover and carried along with your cruise card. Among other uses, it automatically unlocked your door as you approached your cabin if it was anywhere on your person, even in a purse/tote…no more searching for the card or strapping it around your neck. A neck strap was provided, however. The card and Medallion could be removed from the strap and re-hooked to whatever, if desired.
