Enchantment of the Seas Cruise Review by jrmende63
- Sail Date: September 2018
- Destination: Bahamas
- Cabin Type: Interior
We had just came off of a Carnival ship the day before we boarded Enchantment OTS. We could not help but to compare the two ships.
We loved Enchantment. It is easy to get around the ship. Show ( we only saw one) was good. Food was excellent in Chops Grill. Food was ok to excellent in the dining room.
We preferred breakfast in the Windjammer due to the many choices.
Our cabin was 7127, an inside. Nice and cozy. Even though we were midship, we could not hear the music from the centrum in our room.
We went to Coco Cay ( Private island of RC) and Nassau.
Coco Cay was nice, albeit we were soaked in a rain storm. The snorkeling was good farther out by the life guards. Hubby saw and swam with a sea turtle. Lunch was tasty on the island. Tenders were fast and steady at getting us off and on the ship.
Nassau ..we just walked around shopped. We were the only ship in port. We had never seen where there was only one ship in port.
Debarkment ( self assist) was a little hairy as the ship could only open one gangway instead of the normal two. The tide in Port Canaveral was high and did not allow the second gangway to be open. We had to snake outside the theater to then come in the theater to walk deck 5 all the way to midship, go down a flight of stairs and then off the ship. It was hot, muggy and a organized mess. If you could not do a set of the stairs then there were 2 elevators to use.

CocoCayWe snorkeled with our own gear, including our vests. Snorkeling is amazing further out by the life guards.View All 1,050 CocoCay Cruise Port Reviews
We had lunch on the island.
The island is nice. It is a tender island for now, but a pier is being built.

NassauWe shopped in Nassau. And we were the only ship in port. Vendors were aggressive but saying, No Thank You, mostly worked. There were a few that were determined to get your business that took two or three no's.View All 5,593 Nassau Cruise Port Reviews
It doesn't stop us from going there.
We were going to eat conch salad there in Nassau but there was a warning in the Cruise Compass that said to stay away from the raw sea food due to a bacteria (Vibro ) that was making folks sick with conch poisoning.
