We chose this cruise because we felt it was the best way to see all of Hawaii. Our ship was a floating hotel with food! The main thing for us on this cruise was Hawaii, not really the ship. We didn't do any of the specialty, fee-based restaurants on the ship. The dining rooms were nice and the food was good, not incredible, but very good. But, our servers in the dining room were excellent. We also enjoyed Catilac Dinner. We didn't eat at the buffet other than for a snack. We were disappointed in the fact the cruise seemed to push everyone to the specialty, fee-based restaurants rather than making the dining rooms excellent. The only thing really lacking on the ship was entertainment. It could have had more live music. Everything was clean and well done. All of the excursions we chose from Norweigan were well done and very enjoyable. We would choose to do this same cruise again if we were planning to go to Hawaii.
Our cabin was clean and served the purpose. No complaints.
We did not take an excursion at the port, we got on the ship. However, we did the three-day pre-cruise. That was AWESOME! This included the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor and a tour around the island.
