We chose this cruise to see some different Ports that were just not the same old ones. We went to Rome, Venice, Croatia, Greece, Slovenia and Malta. The Ship itself is a bit worn but it is an older ship and I am used to much newer ships and larger. This ship is small so easy to get on and off at Ports with not much hassle. NCL had that part down pat. We traveled with another couple and we did a lot of excursions. We had one issue with a tour and it was handled to our satisfaction. It was nice to have a balcony room since there were so many ports of call, you could enjoy waking up each morning to a new amazing review. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. The cabin is a bit small and worn out but the bed was ok as far as comfort. A bit firm for me. Embarkation and Disembarkation was a breeze.
The entertainment was average if not a bit cheesy and lacking. We hardly ever saw the Cruise Director and there were not a lot of activities at the pool or the fun we are used to on other cruise lines. All in all it was a good cruise but not impressive. The food that is in the dining room was not very good and the specialty restaurants were just ok.
We upgraded to a balcony and we were glad we did but it was still very small with storage being tight. The Stewards were good and prompt. The balcony was one of the smallest i have seen on a ship. This was my 12th cruise but my first with Norwegian. Living near Port Canaveral we hope to try out a few of their newer ships.
We loved Venice and did our own thing both days but did not like you had to pay 20Euros per person to get across to the city.
