Staff was not energetic or very welcoming. More like they were here to collect a pay check. Food was less than desirable minus the main sit down dinner. That was good, but in comparison to the food on Carnival without a doubt has them beat across the sea. Casino was not very big in comparison to other ships. This created one huge smoke cloud even on the non smoking side it was bad. Some staff in the casino couldn't manage bets and it would cause issues among those at the table. Not to mention a couple of highly unprofessional dealers. This ships is great for families in a lot of ways. Yet leave some desires for the adult life. The do nickel and dime you. Be cautious in the jewelery store. They mark up then discount. Did some research on a ring my was interested in that goes for 6k in stores. On the ship it was listed at 9k before their sale. In the end there wasn't much difference in price. Also, couldn't answer me on the type of diamond. This because all in question when we get home to ensure such jewelery. So buyer beware. The ring is still a good value just don't like the sales approach. It is lying to the customer. Excursions are better priced vs. Carnival. Cabin we stayed in faced the board walk. I wouldn't do that again. It is very loud. my wife and I have been debating which cruise line we would like to make our permanent cruise line for getaways. It won't be Royal Caribbean. We come have fun. Part of that fun is the people that creat that environment. The smiles, the high postively charged crew. This ship doesn't have it. 4 people out the entire staff we dealt with. We found Carnival is just a happy more enjoyable environment. This is after trying several companies this past year.
