We did a med raise that took in Greece.....then main purpose of our cruise. This was our first time on RCI, as most of our cruises have been on P&O. Inevitably, much of the below is a comparison with the P&O ships we’ve been on.
The cabin seemed bigger than we’d get on other ships (inside). Bathroom definitely bigger and had a great shower. Quite powerful. Bed was comfy, but no fridge and an even bigger no-no for Brits....no tea making facilities. There was an option for room service, but that carried gratuities and tray charges.
The main dining room was a big let down. On P&O they have their staples, but a new menu each night. Here, the food was pretty much the same with the odd change. The food itself was....ok. But nothing to shout about. There was also the thing about formal/informal. I think American ships need to make their mind up on this. At guest service, the TV clearly stated the dress code and said it was strict. It was anything but. But no shorts and ripped t shirts on formal night, if not actually formal.
